About interim reporting
Interim results are updated nightly ahead of the quarterly publishing of final results. Access to interim results is intended to provide health services with more timely access to survey results, enabling them to action these more efficiently.
The participation charts on the interim results page indicate the number of responses received as a total proportion of the expected number of responses for the period. The expected number of responses is based on average response rates received previously for each patient category within each level of aggregation (state, peer group, health service or campus). The fewer returned surveys presented in the interim view, the more likely it is that results will change when published.
Interim results are unweighted and are not suitable for comparison to other services or for benchmarking purposes and are not available for use in the ‘Build your own infographic’ or ‘Data exploration tool’ functions. These functions will become available for the current reporting period once data collection has been completed and the quarterly results launched.
